156 cars of almost 30 different makes.  Foreign crews from Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Uruguay, in addition to copilots from Germany and the US. Two female teams. Two news crews living the race from the inside. A three-leg itinerary, a crossing to Chile and 86 driving skills tests. The 1000 Millas 2015 have everything it takes to make history again. 

On Thursday 26 at 7.30 a.m. the Argentine flag will be waved as a symbol of the start, and a 1924 Bentley 3-litre will lead the way to the first destination, San Martín de los Andes, to a caravan of 156 vehicles from all time.

This English sports car, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1924 and 1927, will be one of the 13 pre-war vehicles participating in the 27th edition of the 1000 Millas, and will capture the admiration and attraction of fans of these mechanical jewels.

Indeed, the last valid race in the Argentine Historical Sport Regularity Championship organized by the Automóvil Club Argentino, will gather an extraordinary diversity of models of almost 30 different makes, from 1924 to 1984. There will be representatives from: AC 16/80 Competition Sport, Alfa Romeo, Amilcar, Aston Martin, Audi, Austin Healey, Bentley, BMW, Bugatti, Chevrolet, Citroën, Corvette, Delage, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Healey, Hudson, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Morgan, Osca, Pontiac, Porsche, SS Stoir, Triumph, Torino and Volvo. 

The international prestige earned by the 1000 Millas materializes with the participation of foreign crews from Italy, Uruguay, Poland and Switzerland and two copilots from the United States and another one from Germany. Indeed, the latter on the 1983 Audi Quattro with the General Manager of Audi Argentina, Conrado Wittstatt.

Once again, Juan Manuel Fangio II, nephew of the Five-Times Winner, will take part in the 86 driving skills tests which will define the winner of this edition to the team having the greatest precision to race at one-hundredth of a second. 

An interesting detail is that there will be three women participating as pilots. Two in all-female crews: Shalimar Reynal-Ma. Laura Di Ciancia (1970 Porsche 911) and, the recent winners of the Ladies Cup of the Pre-1000 Millas, Valeria Beruto-Pilar Hermida Lozano (1955 Triumph TR2). Paula Percossi will drive a Porsche 356B, but with a gentleman as copilot, Diego Pinosa.

In addition there will be two news crews living the race from the inside: Mario Markic (En el Camino) and Matías Antico (TN Autos) will have the chance to live this sports-touristic adventure and give their unique stories and perspectives on their TV shows. 

Although activities will begin with the loading of cars next Saturday for transportation to San Carlos de Bariloche, on Wednesday 25 from 2.30 p.m to 7 p.m., the so called “Punzonatura” will take place at the LLao LLao Hotel, which consists of the administrative and technical verification of vehicles, and delivery of documents.

On Thursday 26, the first stage will depart from the esplanade of the Llao-Llao Hotel at 7.30 a.m. and after the first trials in the Army's School of Mountaineering and in Los Girasoles, there will be a regrouping at El Mangrullo rest area at about 9.20 a.m. Then, and after leaving behind Confluencia, Collón Curá and Junín de los Andes, close to 12.30 p.m., the arrival of the first car is expected at the Regiment of San Martín de los Andes. In the afternoon, we continue on the Seven Lake Road, Villa la Angostura and after passing by the Civic Center (from 6 p.m.) will close the first day having completed 29 CP and 497.77 kilometers. 

On Friday 27, the departure will take place at the Llao-Llao once again, at 7.30 a.m. After the trials of Circuito Chico and passing through Dina Huapi, there will be a regrouping at Villa la Angostura approximately at 10.15 a.m. before heading to cross Chile through the international pass Cardenal Samoré. In the Termas de Puyehue Hotel, the test will be neutralized and the way back begins one and a half hour afterwards. At the Don Horacio Camping site, at approximately 4.45 p.m., there will be another regrouping to reload energies and go for the final tranche of the stage ending with trials at the Dina Huapi waterfront (5.20 p.m.) and the checkered flag at the Llao-Llao close to 6.30 p.m. In all, a further 29 CP will have been made and 449.03 kilometers driven. 

Finally, on Saturday 28, after starting the day at 8 a.m. sharp and retrace their way through Circuito Chico and Arelauquen, participants will undergo some tests and starting from 10 a.m. will regroup in El Foyel. Before visiting Lago Escondido, some tests will be done at noon, at the Lewis Kart Track. The third stage will end at the Arelauquen Golf, around 4 p.m., after a further 26 CP and 358.14 kilometers.
